In the private math tutoring sessions, teachers focus on building the student's understanding of math concepts rather than just doing math homework.  Many students have shown dramatic improvements of one and two grades by studying concepts, and demonstrating an ability to solve problems when under the pressure of a math test.  Special emphasis is placed on how to effectively take math examinations, and how to pace oneself in order to complete exams in a timely manner.  Because students learning styles can be different with respect to how math is learned, teachers work to unlock what methods work best with each student.  For this reason, private tutoring is recommended as the primary approach to effectively enhance math skills, rather than group classes.  Tutoring is taught in sessions of 30 minutes, 45 minutes and one hour, with the cost being the same as that of private music instruction.
